If you are 18 years or older, live or work in the borough of Fair Lawn, and would like to join the members of Fair Lawn Fire Co. 3 stop by our firehouse on any Monday night, between the hours of 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm. Or you can call 201-794-5403 during those hours.

If you live outside of Co. 3's response area but would still like to join the Fire Dept., feel free to send an email with all of your information and it will be forwarded to the appropriate Company.

Fair Lawn Fire Department Junior Firefighters Program

The Fair Lawn Fire Dept. has implemented a Junior firefighters program to allow interested teenagers the ability to learn firefighting skills and give a sense of pride in their community. Junior firefighters will receive training in all types of firefighting as well as emergency medical skills. If you meet the below requirements, fill out the online application or stop by your local firehouse. If you would like more details, click on purpose and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Be a resident of Fair Lawn.
• Be able to speak and understand English fluently.
• Be able to follow directions under emergency conditions.
• Pass a medical exam and be in good physical condition.
• Be able to perform simple fire ground tasks.
• Be able to attend the Junior Firefighter program given through the Bergen County Fire Academy. Other required classes are Right To Know and Blood Borne Pathogens given by the Department.
